Congratulations to the HealthBarn Foundation, the Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce and participating local restaurants! Lots of hard work and coordination went into securing a $1Million state grant to provide 100,000 high-quality, nutrionally balanced meals for families facing food insecurity. At the same time, this $1Million grant will also support local restaurants. We extend a collective, heartfelt thank you to all those involved in securing this grant. It truly is a WIN-WIN for our community!!

What is the HealthBarn Foundation?
We are so lucky to have HealthBarn USA based right here in upper Ridgewood! Health professional and author, Stacey Antine, MS, RDN, founded the Healthbarn Foundation in 2015 with the mission “to gift children and families nutritious food through access and in conjunction with nutrition education for their health and happiness.” The HealthBarn Foundation, a 501c3, is the charitable arm of HealthBarn USA, a renowned organization and leader in teaching families ( kids and adults alike) about heathy-lifestyle and nutrition in a very fun, engaging and collaborative way.
Healthbarn’s Healing Meals Program
In 2015, health professional, Stacey Antine, MS, RDN, started the HealthBarn Foundation with three programs including School Nutrition Education, Garden-to-Table Scholarships and Healthy Meals. Through the Healthy Meals program (one of the three original Healthbarn Foundation programs), Stacey Antine, MS, RDN, wants to improve the quality of food given to those in need. With many of our neighbors facing chronic health conditions along with food insecurity especially during the pandemic, the Healthbarn Foundation is part of the solution in helping to get healthy food to those in need.
